This is the official website of the 11th Infantry Division, PA.

The Island province of Sulu which is composed of 19 municipalities was designated as the 11th Infantry Division’s area of responsibility with the mission to conduct development support and security operations to defeat the Abu Sayyaf Group and support the peace process with MILF and the MNLF to create an environment conducive for inclusive economic growth and human development in Sulu.

Its goal is to provide timely and accurate information pertaining to public affairs and command information to its customers in support to Division Operations. Moreover, this website also provides insights of the beautiful sceneries and the people, the richness of its unique culture with the soldiers as their partner for peace and development.

Lineage of Commanders

MGEN WILLIAM N GONZALES 18 August 2020 – Present

MGEn William N Gonzales is the present Commander of Joint Task Force -Sulu and 11th Infantry Division. Prior to his appointment at the 11th Infantry Division, Gonzales commanded the First Scout Ranger Regiment. He also served as Assistant Chief of Staff for Education and Training of the Philippine Army and as Commandant of the Officer Candidate School, Training and Doctrine Command.

MGen Gonzales is also a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 1989 and also holds a Masters in Management in Public Administration.

MGEN Corleto S Vinluan Jr 03 July 2019- 18 August 2020

Prior to his assumption, Vinluan served as the Commander of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Joint Special Operations Group and Deputy Commander of the 803rd Infantry Brigade based in Catarman, Northern Samar. He also held several staff positions such as the Assistant Chief of Unified Command Staff for Operations of the Eastern Mindanao Command and Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations of the 8th Infantry Division.

A member of the Philippine Military Academy “Maringal” Class of 1988, he holds a Master’s Degree in Management from the Philippine Christian University.

MGEN DIVINO REY PABAYO 17 December 2018 – 03 July 2019

MGen was the 1st led the command of 11th Infantry “Alakdan” Division. A Professionall soldier and decisive leader commonly known as “Dragon” and later took over as the Commander of the Special Operations Command, Armed Forces of the Philippines (SOCOM AFP)
